Composition and Form: The medication is an oral solution containing acetobumethone and ethinylestradiol.
Pharmacological Properties: The progestogen acetobumethone in the medication blocks mediobasal zones in the hypothalamus, which release gonadoliberins (FSH and LH releasing hormones). These hormones trigger the pituitary secretion of gonadotropins (FSH and LH), responsible for follicle development and ovulation in the ovaries. Ethinylestradiol, in combination with acetobumethone, enhances the contraceptive effect by altering the biological properties of vaginal mucus and cervical mucus viscosity, inhibiting sperm mobility, and preventing the implantation of a fertilized egg in the endometrium.
Indications: ControSex Neo is used to regulate sexual heat (interrupting and delaying estrus) and prevent unwanted pregnancy in cats and female dogs.
Dosage and Administration: The medication is administered orally, either by dropping it into the mouth or onto a treat. For reducing sexual excitement, it is recommended to administer the contraceptive daily:
- Cats: Once a day for 3-5 days
- Female Dogs: Twice a day, 12 hours apart, for 5-7 days at the first signs of sexual excitement
Daily Dose:
- Cats:
- Up to 5 kg: 4 drops
- 5.1 to 10 kg: 4-8 drops
- Female Dogs:
- Up to 5 kg: 2 drops
- 5.1 to 10 kg: 2-4 drops
- 10.1 to 30 kg: 4-12 drops
- Over 30 kg: At least 12 drops per dose + 2 drops for every additional 5 kg of weight
For preventing unwanted pregnancy after accidental mating:
- Cats: 8 drops once daily for 2 days, regardless of body weight
- Female Dogs: Once daily for 2 days, depending on body weight:
- Up to 5 kg: 2 drops
- 5.1 to 10 kg: 2-4 drops
- 10.1 to 30 kg: 4-12 drops
- Over 30 kg: At least 12 drops per dose + 2 drops for every additional 5 kg of weight
Administer the medication within 24 hours after accidental mating for effectiveness.
As Maintenance Therapy:
- Cats: 4 drops regularly every 10-14 days during rest periods or 10 days after the signs of sexual heat disappear.
- Female Dogs: Twice daily, 12 hours apart, for 7 days, 7-14 days before the expected estrus, depending on body weight:
- Up to 5 kg: 1 tablet
- 5.1 to 10 kg: 1-2 tablets
- 10.1 to 30 kg: 2-4 tablets
- Over 30 kg: At least 4 tablets per dose + 1 tablet for every additional 5 kg of weight
For cats, the calming effect maintenance course should not exceed 18 months consecutively. Repeat courses are possible after the estrus resumes. For female dogs, delay estrus courses should not exceed 2 times a year, shifting estrus by approximately 20-40 days.
Side Effects: No side effects, complications, or habituation are observed when used according to the instructions. If individual intolerance to the components occurs, discontinue use.
Contraindications: ControSex Neo drops are contraindicated for young animals during their first heat due to difficulty determining the start of sexual heat, animals not sexually mature, pregnant and lactating females, animals with mammary gland or reproductive organ tumors, urolithiasis, diabetes, and individual intolerance to the components. Do not use on cats and female dogs with medications intended for males due to different hormonal backgrounds.

Storage Conditions: Store in the original closed packaging, protected from direct sunlight, away from food and feed. Storage temperature: 0°C to 25°C. Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture.
