Description
This product comes in the form of a clear liquid ranging from light yellow to yellow in color.
Active Ingredient:
- Fipronil: Belongs to the phenylpyrazole group. Fipronil is effective against various stages of lice, fleas, hair lice, and ticks (including ixodid and cheyletiella) that infest cats.
Mechanism of Action:
- Fipronil works by blocking the GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) receptors of parasites, disrupting nerve impulse transmission. This leads to paralysis and death of the ectoparasites.
- The product does not absorb into the bloodstream but gradually spreads over the cat’s body surface within 24 hours. It localizes in the outer hair cuticle and reserves in the sebaceous glands, ensuring prolonged contact effect on the parasite.
Efficacy:
- Insect Death: Insects infesting the animal die within 8 hours.
- Tick Death: Ixodid ticks are killed within 48 hours.
- Protective Duration:
- Against ixodid ticks: up to 1 month.
- Against adult insects: up to 3 months.
Usage:
- Suitable for cats of various breeds and ages, providing effective protection and treatment against external parasites.
