Description
Composition 1 ml of the preparation contains:
Mepragenol acetate water-soluble – 1 mg Ethynylestradiol – 0.01 mg
The medication belongs to the modern generation of bihormonal contraceptive agents. The hormone concentration in the preparation is reduced by 25 times compared to analogues.
Contraindications The medication should not be used in animals that have not reached sexual maturity. It is contraindicated to administer the medication to cats suffering from conditions such as urolithiasis, diabetes mellitus, or having neoplasms in the urogenital system and mammary glands.
Side Effects At recommended doses and with proper use, no side effects are observed.
Dosage and Administration The medication should be administered to the animal once a day for 4-6 days, no later than 2 days from the onset of sexual arousal.
The daily dose depends on the body weight of the animal:
- Up to 5 kg – 4 drops;
- Over 5 kg – 5-7 drops.
The medication can also be used to maintain a calming effect. Sex-Barrier should be given regularly during the sexual rest period, once every 2 weeks, at a dosage of 4 drops per animal. This helps keep the sexual activity of the cat at a low level.
