Description
Composition: Each tablet contains:
- Mepranolone acetate water-soluble – 0.1 mg
- Ethinylestradiol – 0.001 mg
Contraindications: The product is contraindicated for use in pregnant and lactating animals, Greyhound dogs. It is not recommended for animals that have not reached sexual maturity, or those with diabetes mellitus or urolithiasis. Sex Barrier tablets are contraindicated in the presence of tumors in the urogenital system and mammary glands.
Side Effects: No side effects are observed when used in recommended doses and correctly applied.
Dosage and Administration: Sexual arousal in cats and bitches should be alleviated at the first signs of its occurrence. For this purpose, administer Sex Barrier tablets daily for 3-5 days.
The daily dosage is calculated based on the body weight of the cat or bitch:
- Up to 5 kg – 1 tablet
- 5 to 10 kg – 1-2 tablets
- 10 to 30 kg – 2-4 tablets
- Over 30 kg – 4 tablets plus 1 tablet for every additional 10 kg of body weight.
The product is recommended for maintaining a calming effect. To maintain a low level of sexual activity in cats, administer 1 tablet regularly every 2 weeks. For bitches, administer the tablets 7-14 days before the expected heat cycle for 5-7 days, based on the animal’s weight in the specified dosage above.
To prevent unwanted pregnancy after accidental mating:
- Cats – administer 2 tablets once.
- Bitches – based on the weight of the animal:
- Up to 5 kg – 1 tablet
- 5 to 10 kg – 2-3 tablets
- 10 to 30 kg – 3-4 tablets
- Over 30 kg – 4 tablets plus 1 tablet for every additional 10 kg of body weight.
